Café Naranja on the EU Clean Industrial Deal: Boosting climate start ups and cleantech innovation to realize the Net Zero ambition

Tech Barcelona
6 juni 11:00 / Tech Barcelona

Café Naranja Invitation

With the recent launch of the European Clean Industrial Deal, Europe is set to strengthen its leadership in cleantech innovation and development. Achieving the ambitious targets set by the Net Zero Industry Act will need the help of innovative start-ups and scale-ups to turn ideas into reality. To support them on this journey toward Net Zero, a cross-border, collaborative European approach is necessary.

That’s why, following the Net Zero Tech Conference in Barcelona and the South Summit in Madrid, we wish to bring together the cleantech community. Join us on the rooftop terrace of Tech Barcelona for an informal exchange on how cleantech start-ups can be more effectively supported in the EU, from the perspectives of policy, ecosystem, investors, and start-ups – with specific examples from leading countries Spain and the Netherlands.

What to expect?

  • Expert insights on building thriving cleantech ecosystems – from start-up to scale-up
  • A spotligh on promising cleantech ventures
  • Shared visions from the Netherlands and Spain on cleantech innovation and cooperation
  • Investor perspectives on financing cleantech across the EU

Program

  • Opening remarks from the policy sector: Albért Ballbé (Project Coordinator Industry Directorate, ACCIÓ), Charlotte Bernts (Deputy Representative, Dutch Business Support Office)
  • Building an effective cleantech ecosystem: Jop Blom (Co-Founder, CleantechHUB), Marjolein Oyen-Driesens (Managing Partner, Innoboost)
  • Investor perspective: Fernando Casado Cañeque (Co-Founder & Managing Directior, InClimo), Jaime de Antonio (Investment Manager Climate Tech, Ship2B Ventures),  Josep-Miquel Torregrosa (Partner, Suma Capital), Sarah Luppino ( Principal, MVentures)
  • Spotlight on Cleantech start to scaleups: Sven Kallen (Founder, LifeTerra Foundation), Scott Murphy (Founder, Clover), Suncom (tbc)
  • Q&A and closing remarks
  • Networking on the rooftop terrace
