Manifesta 15 launches Open Call

On October 10, Manifesta 15 launched its Open Call for local projects for the program of 2024. Established in 1996, Manifesta, with head quarter in the Netherlands, is a moving European contemporary art biennial. The edition of 2024 will take place in the city of Barcelona and ten Metropolitan cities in Catalonia, Spain.

Manifesta is looking for architects, artists, scientists, ecologists, designers, and educators, either individuals, collectives, institutions, or associations, who are keen to bring exceptional projects to exceptional venues. The main topic of this year’s edition is on innovative ideas to face the socio-ecological transition. Focus areas include urban development, decolonisation to social inclusion and the climate transition that can create a positive impact for local communities.

Selected applications (10 to 15 projects) will be offered funding ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 euros. In turn, these projects will be presented from the 8th of September to the 24th of November 2024.

Applications are open until the 1st of December 2023 and can be sent to m15opencall@manifesta.org.
